Valerie Smith-Massey is the Founder and Executive Director of Faith Works Drama Company and the Co-Producer of the Everett Theatre in Middletown, Delaware.
 
She is also a wife and mother of 3 children and the middle child of seven.  5 sisters, 1 brother and a bunch of nieces and nephews,  Some of  her nieces and nephews are in FWDC.
 
Valerie has been singing and performing since the tender age of Four.  Her first performance was in, "Singing In The Rain" directed by her teen cousin Jewell Williams. Valerie studied and played the Violin at the age of 7 through College. 
 
Valerie became the Fine Arts Director of her church at the age of 14.  She began writing and directing plays at the age of 16, which were performed at various churches, prisons and the Covenant House in New York City.  At the age of 18, she joined a singing group and had the opportunity to perform at many Universities throughout Florida.
 
Valerie also volunteered, for several years, at the Spofford Youth Prison in the Bronx, New York teaching music and drama.  
 
Valerie was in "Mama I Want To Sing" as Sister Carrie, Ain't Misbehavin as Nell Carter and The Wiz as Evilenne.  Valerie wrote , re-arranged and directed several plays that were performed throughout Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. The closest to her heart is, "9/11 Through Our Eyes"  This is a musical that shows hurt, pain, laughter and finally healing.  Valerie worked in the New York financial district for many years and was in the first attack on the World Trade Center.  Many people were hurt and killed but God spared her life.
 
Valerie's dream is to have an International Touring Company that breaks the race and denomination barrier.  She lives by the statement, "If You Believe, Dreams Do Come True"
